Ms. Leitner holds a bachelors degree in Music Performance from the University of Louisville. There she performed extensively in the Opera Theatre, the Kentucky Opera, and several times as a soloist with the well-acclaimed Louisville Orchestra. Best known for her vocal versatility as a spinto lyric coluratura, her past roles have included Madame Goldentrill in The Impressario (Mozart), Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni (Mozart), and Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart) as well as a more dramatic repertoire of Menotti as Anina in The Saint of Bleaker Street and Anna in The Consul . Ms Leitner is also a two year alumnus of the Brevard Music Center where she performed in numerous operas, musicals and orchestral concerts.

At the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester England, Ms. Leitner pursued Post Graduate Studies in Opera and Vocal performance. Her studies took her further on to the University of York where she earned a Masters Degree in Community Music with a focus in Opera. During the course of study this degree program brought her to work with Opera North in Leeds, England as a community musician developing and performing in educational outreach programs.

Ms Leitner currently resides in Sarasota, and in addition to performing, teaches voice and piano at the Bradenton Academy of Music.
